I felt like that 4 year old boy all over again when Shawn Michaels returned at XIX and had that classic match with Chris Jericho. The exact same feelings came rushing back the next year when ‘Taker returned as the “Deadman.” Sadly though, things don’t always stay the same, and even though they weren’t your fault, I resented you for some of the things that happened to wrestling. My passion for you slowly started to fade. I went from religiously watching Raw and Smackdown and never even letting the thought of missing you be an option. To hardly ever watching WWE at all, and only checking in once a year when I knew you’d be there. Even then I’d watch with a critical eye. I hated what you had become. I hated John Cena. I hated the whole PG approach to things. It made me feel ashamed to like something that had been such a huge part of my life. I watched the product sporadically, and wouldn’t really acknowledged my fandom for a few years, but eventually I’d come back.
