NXT Superstar Joaquin Wilde To Undergo Surgery Following “Freak Accident”

According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, NXT Superstar Joaquin Wilde will reportedly undergo surgery soon due to a broken eye socket. Wilde (F.K.A DJZ in IMPACT Wrestling) reportedly suffered the injury back in July in what was described as a “freak accident” during training.

The surgery was said to be held off for a few weeks by the doctors as they were under the impression that the injury would heal itself, but now the doctors have decided that undergoing the surgery is the best option. Following the surgery, Wilde is expected to miss a few more weeks of in-ring action.

Joaquin Wilde made his NXT debut during The NXT Breakout Tournament, losing to Angel Garza in the first round. He then lost an NXT TV Match to Shane Thorne in early August.
