Michaels was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2011, and still pops up on WWE programming here and there. He’s even made major appearances at the last two Wrestlemania events, bringing fans to their feet by delivering Sweet Chin Music on both occasions. According to Michaels, WWE has approached him numerous times about making a return, but Michaels has chosen to stay retired every time. Whether he ever chooses to return or not, Shawn Michaels has left a legacy that will stand the test of time. He went from a young hot head that was full of talent and potential, but was slowly sabotaging his own career, to a wise veteran that took advantage of his second shot and rewarded those who believed in him with brilliance every time he stepped in the ring. He was a flawed man, but near perfect performer, and his combination of charisma, arrogance, and once in a lifetime talent might very well make him the best wrestler to ever lace up a pair of boots.
