Jon Moxley will be appearing in a new upcoming film called “Cagefighter: Worlds Collide” thanks to former WWE Superstar Christian, who also appears in the movie. The film is scheduled to be released on May 16th digital on-demand on FITE.TV for those of you outside of the United States. Details of a  release in the United States are not yet available but should be coming soon.

The film also stars Gina Gershon, Luke Rockhold, Chuck Liddell, Matt Hardy, Tommy dreamer, Bully Ray, Rigan Machado and Drad Pickett. Moxley will play the role of Randy Stone who is an MMA fighter who is transitioning from pro-wrestling. The trailer, which you can see below, shows footage of Moxley in AEW.

Moxley recently had an interview with uproxx to talk about the film. Here are the highlights.

Jon Moxley on Christian getting him involved in the film:

“I got a call from Jay Reso, who wrestling fans know as Christian. He was working as an executive producer on the movie,” Moxley said during the interview. “It was very shortly after I had left the previous place, WWE, and was a free agent, and he said they were looking for somebody who was a recognizable pro wrestler who’s available and I had just happened to become available.”

Jon Moxley on what he told Christian:

“From being friends with Christian I knew that he wouldn’t be involved in some real crappy movie, so I just said, ‘Let’s go’ and pretty much jumped in right away”
