Backstage News On Vince McMahon Changing Last Tuesday’s SmackDown

It was recently reported on PWInsider.com that WWE Chairman & CEO Vince McMahon tore up the original script for last Tuesday’s episode of SmackDown LIVE just hours before the show was about to air on The USA Network and a significant number of changes were made afterwards.

SmackDown LIVE last Tuesday night was supposed to have a main event that featured WWE Champion Kofi Kingston vs. Daniel Bryan in a Singles Match, but those plans changed and the main event ended up being SmackDown Tag Team Champions The New Day (Big E & Xavier Woods) vs. Daniel Bryan & Rowan in a Non-Title Match.

According to PWInsider.com, the main event that was planned hours before SmackDown LIVE hit the air last Tuesday night was supposed to feature WWE Champion Kofi Kingston vs. Andrade in a Singles Match, but those plans changed and the main event was supposed to feature The New Day (WWE Champion Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods) vs. Daniel Bryan & Rowan. An hour before the show hit the air, those plans changed once again and WWE Champion Kofi Kingston was removed from the main event and replaced by Big E.

All these changes were reportedly made by WWE Chairman & CEO Vince McMahon and this is apparently the third week in a row that Vince McMahon re-wrote the entire SmackDown LIVE hours before the show hit the air.
