WWE - Wrestling Examiner

WWE has released a statement announcing that a current NXT developmental talent has tested positive for COVID-19. It is being reported that the talent is currently a trainee and has not yet appeared on NXT TV.

The WWE statement noted that the talent was at the WWE Performance Center last Tuesday, June 9th. Currently there are no other individuals who have tested positive.

The Wrestling Observer is reported that WWE has cancelled it’s tapings for 6/16 so they can test everyone immediately, in hopes of being able to resume on Wednesday.

You can read the official WWE statement below.

“A developmental talent, who was last on site at WWE’s training facility on Tuesday, June 9, has tested positive for COVID-19. Since that time, no other individuals that attended the facility have reported symptoms. However, out of an abundance of caution and to ensure the health and safety of the company’s performers and staff, all talent, production crew and employees on site at the training and production facilities will be tested for COVID-19 immediately. Following the test results, WWE plans to proceed with its normal television production schedule.”
