The WWE 24/7 Title rule is really in full effect that it was even in play on an airport tarmac. The video below shows Jinder Mahal pinning WWE 24/7 Champion R-Truth on an airport tarmac to be crowned The New WWE 24/7 Champion as the entire WWE crew who were headed to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia for today’s WWE Super ShowDown Event were prepped and ready to make their ascent.
This makes Jinder Mahal a two-time WWE 24/7 Champion. R-Truth was a four-time WWE 24/7 Champion before losing The WWE 24/7 Title to Jinder Mahal. Truth began his fourth reign as The WWE 24/7 Champion after defeating Elias under the ring this past Tuesday night on SmackDown LIVE.
On an interesting note, 205 Live General Manager Drake Maverick wasn’t able to make the trip to Saudi Arabia for today’s Super ShowDown Event, which means that he won’t be competing in The 50-Man Battle Royal but he did take to Twitter recently and talked about The WWE 24/7 Title situation as well as reacting to Jinder Mahal’s win.

Hours after Jinder Mahal pinned R-Truth to become The New WWE 24/7 Champion, R-Truth regained The WWE 24/7 Title once again by pinning Jinder Mahal while he was asleep on their flight to Saudi Arabia for today’s Super ShowDown Event. This was done while they were approximately 39,000 feet in the air.
