John Cena Will Host The 2016 ESPY Awards

WWE announced today that WWE Superstar John Cena will be hosting the 2016 ESPY Awards on July 13th. The annual event from ESPN is an award show that recognizes greatness in all pro sports.

“It is truly an honor to be named host of the 2016 ESPYS,” Cena told WWE.com. “Not only will the biggest names in sports and entertainment come together to recognize some of the most spectacular athletic performances of the year, but we’ll also raise funds for The V Foundation to further much-needed cancer research.”

This is definitely good news for Cena and WWE as they are both trying to branch out and get exposure out in the mainstream media. This is another sign of WWE’s growing relationship with ESPN.
