Braun Strowman Becomes The New WWE Intercontinental Champion

Last night’s episode of WWE Super SmackDown saw Braun Strowman defeat Shinsuke Nakamura to become The New WWE Intercontinental Champion.

The match would see Sami Zayn & Cesaro try to run interference, but it would backfire and Braun Strowman would send Shinsuke Nakamura into an exposed turnbuckle that Sami Zayn had uncovered sometime during the match. Strowman would then hit the big powerslam on Nakamura for the pin.

This is Braun Strowman’s first time to become The WWE Intercontinental Champion. Shinsuke Nakamura became The WWE Intercontinental Champion back on July 14th, 2019 during The WWE Extreme Rules Kickoff Show by defeating The WWE Intercontinental Champion at the time Finn Balor.
