According to backstage sources, the masked wrestler who appeared at MKE Wrestling’s The Last Knight Event this past Friday night was in fact Former WWE Superstar CM Punk.
For those who missed it, a masked wrestler appeared towards the end of MKE Wrestling’s The Last Knight Event to help Ace Steele defeat Daryck St Holmes. The masked wrestler, sporting a hoodie that Punk had worn earlier in the day at a BJJ Tournament, entered the ring while the referee was down and hit Daryck St Holmes with Punk’s GTS finisher. The masked wrestler then stormed out the door and was not seen again.
The sources also indicated that at one point the plan had been for Punk to actually take off the mask after hitting the GTS. That obviously did not happen and Punk took off while still wearing the mask. It was also revealed that Punk waited in his car outside the venue before making his appearance and left immediately afterwards.
You can check out the side by side comparisons of the masked wrestler & CM Punk earlier in the day in the tweet below:
Here is the picture comparison for CM Punk and the masked person. This would really be something. I do not know who made this picture, so I do apologize for not being able to attribute, had it sent to me. pic.twitter.com/NtS2XC5HbU
