It was previously reported that The WWE will be airing a special live event called Smackville on The WWE Network which is set to take place on Saturday, July 27th at 9PM ET from The Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.
Two matches and a live musical segment was previously announced to take place on the special live event as WWE Champion Kofi Kingston will be defending his WWE Title against Samoa Joe & Dolph Ziggler in a Triple Threat Match, WWE Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura will be defending his WWE Intercontinental Title against Former WWE Intercontinental Champion Finn Balor and there will be a special musical performance by Elias.
An update was recently provided wherein two more matches are now being advertised to take place on the special live event as well where we will see SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley defend her SmackDown Women’s Title against Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss in a Triple Threat Match and SmackDown Tag Team Champions The New Day (Big E & Xavier Woods) defend their SmackDown Tag Team Titles against an opponent that is yet to be announced.
