Macho Man Randy Savage: Unique Madness

After WrestleMania VIII, Savage would renew his rivalry with The Ultimate Warrior, and defend his WWF Championship against him at SummerSlam 1992. The match was solid but lacked the magic of their WrestleMania VII clash. It ended in a DQ when Ric Flair and Mr. Perfect interfered. The WWF would once again disrespect Savage and their own World Championship, when Bret “The Hitman” Hart and The British Bulldog were picked to close the show instead of Savage and Warrior. The decision makes a bit more sense than the WrestleMania one. They were in England after all, and plans called for The British Bulldog to win the Intercontinental Championship in his home land, but it was still a bad break for Savage. Macho Man would lose the WWF Championship back to Ric Flair on the September 14th 1992 episode of Prime Time Wrestling after outside interference by Razor Ramon. It would be the last time Savage held championship gold in the WWF.
