WWE Universal Title Steel Cage Match Between Rollins & The Fiend Takes Place After RAW

Immediately following the conclusion of last night’s episode of Monday Night RAW from The Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, Ohio, WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins put his WWE Universal Title on the line against “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt in a Steel Cage Match.

The match saw Seth Rollins successfully defend his WWE Universal Title against “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt in the exact same theme that WWE used at Hell In A Cell, which is the red light surrounding the entire ringside area.

The match ended with Rollins crawling his way out the cage door to secure the victory, but prior to Rollins escaping, Wyatt tried to block his exit through the cage door, climb the cage to prevent Rollins from escaping that way and attempt a Sister Abigail. All of that didn’t work as Rollins nailed Wyatt with several superkicks as well as a number of stomps, countered Wyatt’s Sister Abigail, then escaped though the cage door.

After the match, “The Fiend” quickly got back to his feet and stared Rollins down as Seth was making his way up the ramp. The arena then went dark and when the red lights came back on, “The Fiend” was once again at ringside with The Mandible Claw applied to Seth Rollins. The arena went dark again as “The Fiend”‘s laugh echoed throughout the arena. “The Fiend” then appeared on the stage as lights were flashing on him and the show came to a close.

“The Fiend” was not present during the regular broadcast of last night’s episode of Monday Night RAW as he is now a member of The Friday Night SmackDown roster courtesy of The 2019 WWE Draft. WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins, on the other hand, was on RAW and defeated Humberto Carrillo in a Non-Title Match. The two are scheduled to face each other at later this month’s WWE Crown Jewel PPV Event in a Falls Count Anywhere Match, which reportedly can’t be stopped for any reason and the match will see WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins defend his WWE Universal Title.
