It was recently announced by WWE that Monday Night RAW Superstar AJ Styles is currently out of in-ring action due to an injury. There is no word yet on the details of his injury, but AJ Styles has reportedly not wrestled since his loss to WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins in their WWE Universal Title Match at WWE Money In The Bank this past May 19th. Last week’s episode of Monday Night RAW did see AJ Styles appear in a backstage segment with Baron Corbin, but he did not wrestle. The segment saw AJ Styles slap Baron Corbin to begin their new feud, but Corbin did not fight back.
It was announced that Styles would be competing in a Fatal 4-Way Elimination Match during last night’s episode of Monday Night RAW to crown a new #1 Contender for Seth Rollins’ WWE Universal Title at Super ShowDown. That match was still a Fatal 4-Way Elimination Match but it did see Baron Corbin replace AJ Styles to go up against Braun Strowman, The Miz & Bobby Lashley. More information will be provided on AJ Styles’ injury and status once it becomes available.
