UFC 196 is now over, but not before delivering a few major surprises. Nate Diaz became the new UFC featherweight champion by defeating Conor McGregor by submission in the second round with a rear-naked chokehold. McGregor who is now 7-1 in the UFC and 19-3 overall in his MMA career tapped out with 4:12 into the second round.

On the semi-main event Meisha Tate became the new UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion by defeating Holly Holm, who had her first title defense after shocking the world when she knocked out Ronday Rousey last year. Tate was able to place the rear-naked chokehold on Holm until she passed out.
