Sonya Deville is set to be sidelined indefinitely due to a torn ACL she recently suffered. According to reports from TMZ (which have been confirmed by Fightful), the co-WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion is scheduled to undergo surgery next Tuesday to address the ACL tear.

The injury is believed to have occurred during the July 28th edition of WWE Smackdown, where Deville and Chelsea Green teamed up against Bianca Belair and Charlotte Flair in a non-title match. Unfortunately, there is currently no specific timeline for her anticipated return.

As for the handling of the Women’s Tag Team Titles, WWE has not yet made any official announcements. The titles were left vacant back in May after Liv Morgan sustained a shoulder injury. Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler went on to win the titles in a fatal four-way match. Deville and Green managed to secure the championship belts from Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez on the July 17th episode of Raw, and their reign has lasted for 21 days so far.
