Samoa Joe Reportedly Injured On RAW This Past Monday Night

This past Monday night’s episode of RAW saw Samoa Joe team up with Kevin Owens to face RAW Tag Team Champions Seth Rollins & Buddy Murphy for their RAW Tag Team Titles. At one point during the match, Samoa Joe performed a dive and grabbed the back of his head. He was then pulled out of the match and taken to the back. Kevin Owens ended up finishing the match by himself, however was ultimately pinned by Buddy Murphy.

According to PWInsider.com, Samoa Joe’s injury was 100% real and The WWE medical personnel made the decision to pull him from the bout. After Joe was removed, the rest of the talent were calling the match on the fly.

Samoa Joe was reportedly evaluated backstage immediately following the match. Dave Meltzer noted on a recent edition of The Wrestling Observer Radio Program that the belief is Samoa Joe suffered a concussion, although that has not been confirmed yet. Joe had just returned to in-ring action last month after suffering a thumb injury last September.
