Last night’s episode of IMPACT Wrestling, which was the company’s premiere on AXS TV, saw Sami Callihan become The New IMPACT Wrestling World Champion by defeating The Former World Champion Brian Cage in a Steel Cage Match.
Callihan did everything he can and even pulled out all the stops before he was able to win The IMPACT Wrestling World Title. Callihan hit Cage with four piledrivers in an attempt to put him away, but Cage was still able to kick out. Cage would recover and try to climb out of the steel cage, but Callihan stopped him and hit a super piledriver off the second rope to get the pinfall victory to win The IMPACT Wrestling World Title.
This is Sami Callihan’s first time to become The IMPACT Wrestling World Champion. Cage won The IMPACT Wrestling World Title back on April 28th at IMPACT Wrestling’s Rebellion PPV by defeating The IMPACT Wrestling World Champion at the time Johnny Impact (John Morrison).
