Last night we reported that Rob Gronkowski was close to signing a deal with WWE. Well it seems that they were extremely close to signing or he had already signed with WWE. According the The Wrap, Gronkowski has already signed with WWE and is scheduled to make his SmackDown debut on March 20th in New Orleans. He is also scheduled to appear in Tampa, for WrestleMania 36, but most likely will not be in a match, but might be there to build for a future match.

PWInsider is reporting that Gronk will not be in a non-wrestling role like announcer or GM. He is expected to be an active wrestler. His deal is similar to Ronda Rousey’s deal according to a source. The report that was released on WWE Backstage was done to create mainstream buzz since it was released by FOX.
