NXT Superstars Tommaso Ciampa, Bianca Belair & Others Appear On SmackDown

It was previously reported that NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler, Matt Riddle & Keith Lee made their presences felt during last night’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown from The KeyBank Center in Buffalo, New York and left their marks on the show and this is due to a number of top blue brand Superstars being stuck in Saudi Arabia and unable to make it back to the United States in time for the show.

Several other NXT Superstars also made their presences felt during last night’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown when Tommaso Ciampa interrupted Miz TV and then defeated The Miz in singles action. While this match was taking place, Pat McAfee was on commentary, joining the one night only special announce team of Renee Young & Tom Phillips. Kayla Braxton, on the other hand, was doing the ring announcing.

Following Ciampa defeating The Miz in singles action, there was a backstage segment where Daniel Bryan was having words with WWE COO Triple H & WWE Hall Of Famer “The Heart Break Kid” Shawn Michaels, who were at Friday Night SmackDown to represent NXT. This would then lead to NXT Champion Adam Cole making an appearance and facing off with Daniel Bryan. They would then agree to battle each other in the main event of the evening with The NXT Title on the line.

A Women’s Division Tag Team Match with NXT Women Superstars being involved in the match also took place on SmackDown. There was a backstage segment where Bianca Belair laid out Carmella & Dana Brooke as they were readying themselves to make their way to the ring for their match against Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville. Since Carmella & Dana Brooke were unable to compete, Rhea Ripley & Tegan Nox would come out instead and defeat Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville with ease.
