Last night’s WWE Royal Rumble Go-Home edition of Monday Night RAW saw Matt Hardy lose yet another Singles Match, this time to Erick Rowan.
Following his loss and Monday Night RAW going off the air, Matt Hardy took to Twitter and thanked fans for their love and support, then said that he hopes the fans are enjoying his TV appearances because there won’t be many more, teasing what could be his departure from WWE.
According to reports, Matt Hardy’s WWE contract will be expiring soon and that he will be eligible to wrestle for any another wrestling promotion starting Sunday, March 1st. He has reportedly been in contract talks with WWE Officials, but the “major hurdle” between Hardy and The WWE is said to not be anything related to money matters, but how he will be used creatively moving forward.
This past December, Matt Hardy returned to WWE TV, but has not won a match since he’s been back.
