Dean Ambrose To Return To Wrestling In The Indies As Jon Moxley

It looks like Dean Ambrose will be returning to Pro Wrestling in the indies with his former ring name, Jon Moxley. Dean Ambrose’s new verified Twitter account with The Jon Moxley name recently tweeted out a promo that shows him apparently breaking out of prison, which could be a reference to his WWE departure. Ambrose gave his notice to The WWE in late January and left the company just weeks ago after being unhappy with the way he had been used.

Ambrose’s WWE contract reportedly expired on April 30th. The Jon Moxley Twitter account made it’s first and only post just a few minutes after midnight on May 1st. Shortly after the post was made, Jon Moxley started trending worldwide on Twitter. The header and the profile image of The Twitter account features Dean Ambrose’s photo while The bio reads: “Professional.wrestler.”

Ambrose wrestled his last WWE match at a recent live event that took place in Moline, Iowa that aired as a special on The WWE Network called The Shield’s Last Chapter. It was there that he teamed up with Roman Reigns & WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins to defeat Baron Corbin, Drew McIntyre & Bobby Lashley.

There is no word yet on where Ambrose will end up, but updates will be provided on his return and where he might be headed next once it is made available.
