Francisco (Paco) Alonso Lutteroth, Longtime Owner Of CMLL (Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre) recently passed away at the age of 67. In 1975, Francisco (Paco) Alonso Lutteroth started his career in CMLL (Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre). Francisco Alonso would then take full control of the company in 1987.
Still under the control of Francisco (Paco) Alonso Lutteroth, CMLL had it’s original EMLL (Empresa Mexicana de Lucha Libre) name changed to it’s current name back in 1991. EMLL was originally founded in 1933 by Salvador Lutteroth, who was known as The Father Of Lucha Libre and is the grandfather of Francisco (Paco) Alonso Lutteroth.
Francisco (Paco) Alonso Lutteroth’s daughter, Sofía Alonso, is currently also part of CMLL as The Commercial Director of the company. Below is the announcement recently sent out by CMLL on the passing of their owner:
