Brock Lesnar Officially Retires From MMA

According to ESPN’s Ariel Helwani, Brock Lesnar has decided not to return to MMA. The Beast Incarnate is now officially retired from the sport.

UFC President Dana White told Helwani that Lesnar has informed the company that he does not plan on fighting in The Octagon again. Lesnar had been rumored to fight against UFC Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier. That fight was supposed to take place in the summer, but that fight will no longer be taking place as Lesnar told White last week that he is now retired from the sport.

White said, “He told me he’s done, he’s retired.” “We’re going to move in another direction with Cormier.”

White now plans to book a rematch between Cormier & Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Stipe Miocic. Lesnar’s last MMA fight took place at UFC 200 in July Of 2016, which was a win over Mark Hunt that was overturned due to a failed drug test from Lesnar.
