Backstage News On John Cena’s Role At WrestleMania

We are just about a little over a week away before The Grandest Stage Of Them All, WrestleMania, goes down from Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Although the card is already stacked from top to bottom, one of the biggest names in the entire WWE, John Cena, doesn’t seem to have any plans at the show.

Over the past couple of months, there has been some speculation on who Cena will be facing at this year’s WrestleMania. It was first speculated that WWE United States Champion Samoa Joe will be Cena’s opponent, especially after a series of promos that was delivered by Joe hinted that it may be the direction WWE creative was taking. Of course, now we know that Samoa Joe will be defending his WWE United States Title against Rey Mysterio at WrestleMania.

It was then speculated that John Cena will eventually be taking Baron Corbin’s place and become Kurt Angle’s opponent in what is being billed as The Olympic Gold Medalist’s final match with WWE. Cena continues to post photos on his Instagram account that poke fun at the situation with Corbin and bring attention to the fact that Angle was Cena’s vert first opponent in WWE.

According to F4WOnline, there is a deal on the table that Cena is expected to sign for WrestleMania; however, they noted that his opponent is not Kurt Angle.

More information will be provided on John Cena’s role at WrestleMania once it becomes available.
