Last night’s taped episode of Monday Night RAW saw Akira Tozawa defeat R-Truth to win The WWE 24/7 Title. The title exchange took place at Times Square in New York City, which also saw R-Truth receive an invite to light what he thought was Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s Christmas Tree.
The title exchange also saw a random man inform Truth that his invitation was in Japanese and it was not The Rock’s Christmas Tree, but The Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree, which has been lit for weeks. Akira Tozawa would then appear with a referee to pin R-Truth.
This is Akira Tozawa’s first time to win The WWE 24/7 Title. R-Truth won the title back on The December 2nd episode of Monday Night RAW in a backstage segment that saw him defeat NASCAR Driver Kyle Busch, which began his 24th reign as The WWE 24/7 Champion.
