Originally slated to participate in this weekend’s AAA TripleMania XXXI: Mexico City event, AEW’s Brian Cage unfortunately had to withdraw from the lineup due to an undisclosed injury. Cage was initially set to compete in a Latin American Championship Match, facing off against Dralistico, QT Marshall, and Pentagon Jr. In a video shared earlier today, Cage explained that he had been hospitalized, preventing his attendance at TripleMania XXXI.
Brian Cage disclosed that he had been in the emergency room, which ultimately led to him missing both his flight and his scheduled match at the AAA event. Although the exact nature of the injury was not disclosed, he did include in the caption,
“For those who have asked or hoped to see me at #TriplemaniaXXXI last night, here’s why I wasn’t there. I’m gonna be just fine. Only sidelined very briefly, I’ll be gtg next week!”

I’m glad this wasn’t as serious as first thought.
