It was recently announced that this coming Friday night’s episode of SmackDown will see a Tables Match take place between Roman Reigns & Robert Roode.
As previously reported, this past Friday night’s episode of WWE SmackDown from inside The Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana saw Robert Roode make his return to The Blue Brand. The main event would see King Corbin & Dolph Ziggler defeat The Usos (Jey Uso & Jimmy Uso) via DQ after Roman Reigns attacked King Corbin at ringside. An interference from The Revival (Scott Dawson & Dash Wilder) would also happen on King Corbin’s behalf.
Roman Reigns would then put King Corbin through the announce table but Roode attacked him from behind. SmackDown would then go off the air with Reigns under a bunch of debris after Roode, Corbin & Ziggler put him through the announce table.
Roode made his WWE SmackDown return after serving a 30-day WWE Wellness Policy suspension, but the storyline reason for Roode’s absence was due to Roman Reigns beating him down and putting him through a table this past November.
These two incidents were the reason for The Tables Match being made for this Friday’s WWE SmackDown.
