According to Dave Meltzer on a recent edition of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Sheamus is currently out of action as he is dealing with a concussion. It is believed that this unfortunate incident happened during The New Day (WWE Champion Kofi Kingston, Big E & Xavier Woods) vs. Sheamus, Cesaro & Drew McIntyre 6-Man Tag Team Match on SmackDown last week.
If that’s the case, both he & Big E were injured during the same match. For Big E, he suffered a torn meniscus that required surgery. Sheamus did not appear on either of this week’s Superstar Shake-Up editions of RAW or SmackDown LIVE. The concussion would explain his absence from the main event of this past Tuesday night’s SmackDown LIVE where Cesaro teamed up with Rusev & Shinsuke Nakamura in a losing effort against WWE Champion Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods & Kevin Owens.
