Politics Reportedly Behind Ember Moon Getting Pinned On SmackDown

SmackDown LIVE this past Tuesday night saw SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley & Ember Moon lose a Women’s Division Tag Team Match to Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross. The match ended when Ember Moon got pinned by Alexa Bliss after Bliss finished her with a Twisted Bliss.

The finish of the match was reportedly filled with confusion as Ember Moon suffered a loss and got pinned just days before she gets her SmackDown Women’s Title Match from SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley at SummerSlam because it made no sense at all, but a report from The Wrestling Observer Newsletter indicated that this was a political move.

This past Tuesday night’s episode of SmackDown LIVE featured three RAW vs. SmackDown LIVE Matches, which WWE had planned to do all along. The first match saw Kevin Owens defeat Drew McIntyre and the second match saw WWE Champion Kofi Kingston defeat WWE United States Champion AJ Styles. The third and final match was The Women’s Division Tag Team Match and RAW had to pick up a victory since the two other matches already had SmackDown LIVE come out on top, which is the reason why Ember Moon had to lose.
