We saw new SmackDown Tag Team Champions being crowned on last night’s show. Daniel Bryan & Rowan defeated The Usos (Jey & Jimmy Uso) to become The New SmackDown Tag Team Champions. The SmackDown Tag Team Titles have been vacant since The Hardy Boyz (Matt & Jeff Hardy) relinquished them two weeks ago due to Jeff Hardy’s right leg injury. Jeff Hardy will reportedly be out of action for 6-9 months.
Last night’s episode of SmackDown LIVE saw Shane McMahon initially announce Daniel Bryan & Rowan as the new champions. The Usos then interrupted, coming to SmackDown LIVE from Monday Night RAW as part of the new Wild Card Rule and took issue with Bryan & Rowan being crowned champions without even earning the titles. This led to Shane making The Usos vs. Bryan & Rowan for the titles. Bryan & Rowan would then win that match to begin their first run together as SmackDown Tag Team Champions.
