LAX Reportedly Done With IMPACT Wrestling

Last Sunday night’s IMPACT Wrestling Slammiversary XVII PPV Event saw IMPACT Wrestling World Tag Team Champions The North (Ethan Page & Josh Alexander) successfully retain their IMPACT Wrestling World Tag Team Titles against LAX (Santana & Ortiz) and The Rascalz (Dez & Wentz) in a Three-Way Match. Towards the end of the match, Santana was reportedly out of commission as he suffered an injury. The injury that Santana sustained in the match was reportedly planned out in advance and had been in the works for some time now.

According to a recent article that was published on F4WOnline.com, last Sunday night’s IMPACT Wrestling Slammiversary XVII PPV Event was also the last time LAX (Santana & Ortiz) will ever compete in an IMPACT Wrestling ring. As previously reported, both WWE & All Elite Wrestling have been very much interested in signing LAX (Santana & Ortiz) to contracts ever since learning that their IMPACT Wrestling deals were expiring soon. It was also previously reported that WWE is going out of their way as of late to try and sign anyone and everyone they can get their hands on, while All Elite Wrestling, on the other hand, is really focused on building their tag team division.

Santana & Ortiz are four-time IMPACT Wrestling World Tag Team Champions as part of LAX. They also have the distinct honor of being the longest reigning IMPACT Wrestling World Tag Team Champions in the history of IMPACT Wrestling at 261 days as well as being the longest reigning IMPACT Wrestling World Tag Team Champions with a total combined reign of 662 days.
