According to a recent report from Pro Wrestling Sheet, SmackDown LIVE Superstar Jinder Mahal has reportedly signed a new multi-year contract with The WWE. This new contract is said to be for 5 years, which has been the same deal that other WWE Superstars have been given by the company as of late.
Jinder Mahal has recently been involved in The WWE 24/7 Title picture and he has even become a two-time WWE 24/7 Champion. He recently lost The WWE 24/7 Title during a flight to Saudi Arabia for WWE Super ShowDown about 37,000 feet in the air above the Red Sea.
Jinder Mahal won his first WWE Title when he defeated “The Apex Predator” Randy Orton back on May 21st, 2017 at WWE Backlash. His title reign would last for 170 days before losing it to “The Phenomenal One” AJ Styles on The November 7th episode of SmackDown LIVE. Jinder Mahal then won The WWE United States Title at WWE WrestleMania 34 by defeating “The Bulgarian Brute” Rusev.
During The 2018 WWE Superstar Shake-up, Jinder Mahal was moved to Monday Night RAW, taking The WWE United States Title with him, but losing it on the same night to Jeff Hardy. Jinder Mahal would then have various storylines after that. He would then be moved back to SmackDown LIVE during The 2019 WWE Superstar Shake-up. He hasn’t had much of a push since moving back to SmackDown LIVE aside from being featured on WWE TV from time to time due to The WWE 24/7 Title storyline.
Jinder Mahal joins Mojo Rawley, Mike Kanellis & Maria Kanellis as WWE Superstars who have recently signed new five-year contracts with the company.
