Janel Grant has announced plans to amend her lawsuit against Vince McMahon, WWE, and John Laurinaitis. The lawsuit, initially filed in January of the previous year, accuses McMahon of sex trafficking, sexual assault, and other allegations. According to POST Wrestling, Grant’s attorneys revealed in recent court filings that the amended complaint will be submitted on January 15.
Details of the changes Grant intends to make remain unclear, but her original lawsuit claims that McMahon and Laurinaitis sexually assaulted her, and that McMahon trafficked her, including using sexual encounters as leverage during Brock Lesnar’s contract negotiations. Grant also alleges that WWE management was aware of McMahon’s actions and covered them up.
The lawsuit had been temporarily paused due to federal investigations into McMahon, but that stay expired in mid-December. McMahon, Laurinaitis, and WWE have filed motions to move the case to arbitration.
