Jake Hager launched a tirade against AEW President Tony Khan on social media last night, accusing him of being a “communist” and claiming that Khan had threatened his job if he didn’t stop publicly supporting Donald Trump. Hager took to Twitter on Tuesday to express his support for the recently re-elected Trump. When he faced backlash from fans, he escalated the situation, engaging in heated exchanges about topics like abortion and sharing a satirical article about the election, which he hoped would “trigger all the commies.”
Among the tweets he later deleted were:
“I love the pro wrestling fans that
Think their educated”
“Wrestling fans die believe s**t their told
is real… lmao”
The situation took a new turn when a fan responded to Hager, tagging both Tony Khan and Bryan Danielson in the process. In response, Hager wrote:
“Tony Khan is someone who threaten[ed] my job if I didn’t stop promoting my Trump. He [is] a communist.”
“Do u want proof that @TonyKhan is a communist and threatened me to be silent or else?”
Tony Khan did not respond to any of Hager’s posts. Hager has since deleted almost all of his tweets from the evening, except for the following:
@TonyKhan @bryandanielson check your dumbass drunk boy.

Blitzkrieg Pro! has since pulled Jake Hager from their December 14th show, stating:
“Jake Hagar will no longer be appearing on December 14th in Enfield, CT.
On top of sponsors no longer being willing to work with him, we also just have to do what we think is right for our roster and fans.
We’re going to get to work on a replacement asap, however, a few people that are signed to appear:
@theakiraway / @MarcusMathers1 / @CharlieTiger_ / @cpawrestles / @TJCWrestling / @PerryVonVicious”

I found Hager very difficult to understand.
Hager turning on Khan is not surprising.
