Hiromu Takahashi won The IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Title on night one of NJPW’s Wrestle Kingdom 14 Event by defeating The Former IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion Will Ospreay. Due to Hiromu Takahashi’s IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Title win, he is now a three-time IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion.
Back in July Of 2018, Hiromu Takahashi suffered an injury after landing on his head during his IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Title defense against Dragon Lee. Even though Hiromu retained his IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Title, he was forced to vacate it due to him suffering a broken neck.
This past November, a well recovered Takahashi made his return to NJPW’s Power Struggle to challenge Will Ospreay for The IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Title.
