Drake Maverick Loses The WWE 24/7 Title To R-Truth At His Wedding Ceremony

As previously reported, this past Tuesday night’s episode of SmackDown LIVE from The Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, California saw 205 Live General Manager Drake Maverick finally capture The WWE 24/7 Title from R-Truth. R-Truth was outside of the arena as he was trying to find Carmella so that they can leave before a title change took place, but Drake Maverick was waiting the entire time for R-Truth to show up and he was even dressed as Carmella.

Drake Maverick would even appear with a referee, who R-Truth thought was his Uber driver. This would eventually lead to Drake Maverick pinning R-Truth with the help of an SUV by elevating his feet from inside of the vehicle to capture The WWE 24/7 Title. He would then drive off with the SUV that actually belonged to the referee and while he was leaving, Maverick would shout out that he is going to get married.

This past Thursday, the marriage between 205 Live General Manager Drake Maverick & Indie Star Renee Michelle did take place. After the wedding ceremony, Drake Maverick lost his WWE 24/7 Title to Former 5-time WWE 24/7 Champion R-Truth. R-Truth appeared with a referee after the wedding ceremony took place and pinned Drake Maverick to once again capture The WWE 24/7 Title. This win now makes R-Truth a Six-Time WWE 24/7 Champion. WWE has recently released a video, which you can check out below that shows R-Truth confronting 205 Live General Manager Drake Maverick with a referee after the wedding ceremony took place and pin him. The video also shows EC3 as Drake Maverick’s best man and Braun Strowman as Drake Maverick’s groomsman.
