Brock Lesnar Makes Surprise Appearance On SmackDown & Challenges Kofi Kingston For WWE Title On FOX Premiere

Last night’s episode of SmackDown LIVE from The State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia saw Brock Lesnar w/ Paul Heyman make a surprise appearance following The New Day’s (WWE Champion Kofi Kingston, Big E & Xavier Woods) victory over The SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Revival (Scott Dawson & Dash Wilder) and Randy Orton in a Six-Man Tag Team Match.

Paul Heyman would then grab a microphone and issue a challenge to The WWE Champion Kofi Kingston, in behalf of his client, Brock Lesnar, for The WWE Title at SmackDown LIVE’s premiere on FOX on Friday, October 4th. Kofi Kingston would then accept the challenge and the match is now official. The segment would then end with Brock Lesnar viscously attacking Kofi Kingston and laying him out with an F5.

So far, the only match announced for SmackDown LIVE’s premiere on FOX is this WWE Title Match between WWE Champion Kofi Kingston & Brock Lesnar. This is reportedly Brock Lesnar’s first SmackDown LIVE Match in over 15 years. Since his return to The WWE back in 2012, Lesnar has not yet worked a match on WWE Television.

SmackDown LIVE’s premiere on FOX is set to take place on Friday, October 4th from The Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. This is also SmackDown LIVE’s 20th Anniversary Show.

You can check out the segment between WWE Champion Kofi Kingston, Brock Lesnar & Paul Heyman in the photos and the videos below:
