As previously reported, WWE Legend The Undertaker has been announced to make his return to WWE TV on Tuesday, September 10th during an episode of SmackDown LIVE which is set to take place from Madison Square Garden in New York City.
According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, The Undertaker’s return to SmackDown LIVE from Madison Square Garden in New York City was not announced at first due to its ticket sales being slower than expected despite the show being planned for a while now. There is no word yet on why WWE started advertising The Undertaker’s appearance just this past week but more information will be provided once it is made available.
Despite The Undertaker being advertised for The September 10th episode of SmackDown LIVE from Madison Square Garden, which is The Go-Home Show for The WWE Clash Of Champions PPV Event, The Phenom is currently not scheduled to be on The PPV.
It will be interesting to see why The Undertaker was booked to appear on The SmackDown LIVE from Madison Square Garden, but word is that some sort of angle could be shot on that show in order to build The Phenom’s appearance on SmackDown LIVE’s 20th Anniversary Show, which is also SmackDown LIVE’s first-ever show on FOX. As of this writing, The Undertaker is currently not advertised to do anything physical or wrestle in a match at both The SmackDown LIVE from Madison Square Garden and SmackDown LIVE’s 20th Anniversary Show as he is just advertised to make an appearance.
