Backstage News on Andrade’s WWE Push

According to Dave Meltzer on a recent edition of The Wrestling Observer Radio Program, WWE Intercontinental Champion Finn Balor & Andrade will likely continue their on-going feud after this coming Sunday’s Money In The Bank PPV Event. They will be involved in The Men’s MITB Ladder Match at Sunday’s PPV with Ricochet, Randy Orton, Ali, Sami Zayn, Drew McIntyre & Baron Corbin.

Last Tuesday night’s episode of SmackDown LIVE saw Andrade win a Fatal 4-Way Match against Randy Orton, Ali & WWE Intercontinental Champion Finn Balor by pinning The Intercontinental Champion to secure the victory. Meltzer noted that WWE Officials have been very high on Andrade for some time now and that there is a lot of backing as far as his character goes. It was also noted that WWE has big plans to push his career to new heights in 2019.

They have had a few matches against each other for weeks now with Andrade getting a pinfall victory over WWE Intercontinental Champion Finn Balor in a Non-Title Match on The April 15th episode of Monday Night RAW from Montreal, Quebec, Canada, which was The Superstar Shakeup episode. Balor would then get the victory back also in a Non-Title Match that took place on SmackDown LIVE the week after. A third match between the two was rumored to take place at this coming Sunday’s Money In The Bank PPV Event, but they ended up being put in The Men’s MITB Ladder Match. They have also worked multi-man matches and live event matches with each other since Balor’s Non-Title Match win on SmackDown LIVE a few weeks back.
