Fightful wrestling had an interview with EC3 recently where he talked about several different topics including why he left Impact Wrestling, his friendship with Rockstar Spud, Signing with WWE and much more. You can watch the whole interview below.
EC3 first made his name in the wrestling industry with his impressive run in Impact Wrestling, winning the Impact World Championship twice before asking for his release and leaving the promotion.
During the interview EC3 talked about why he asked for his release from the company. According to him, he just needed a change:
“I decided to leave early because of the transitions going and I just thought it was a good time for other people to step up and a good time for me to challenge myself somewhere else at the moment.”
“I had to do something different especially [with] where my personal life was at the time, I needed a big change.” said EC3. “At the time I was pretty well compensated so I think they were okay with taking me off the books because they also wanted to build new and fresh people”
EC3 also comments on why he signed with WWE, founding AIW, Braun Strowman only having two wrestling pants, plus much more.
