Memphis Wrestling Legend & Jeff Jarrett’s Grandfather Eddie Marlin recently passed away at the age of 89. Eddie Marlin was a former Memphis Wrestler & Promoter who also made his name in the wrestling industry by competing in The NWA Mid-America Wrestling Promotion as well as The Continental Wrestling Association.
During his stint in The NWA Mid-America Wrestling Promotion, Eddie Marlin teamed up with Tommy Gilbert and he even won multiple championship titles such as The NWA Southern Tag Team Title, The NWA World Six-Man Tag Team Title & The NWA Mid-America Tag Team Title. When he joined his son-in-law Jerry Jarrett’s wrestling promotion known as The Continental Wrestling Association, Eddie Marlin was the on-screen General Manager throughout The 1980s.
Randy Hales, former Memphis Wrestling Personality & the person who helped take care of Eddie Marlin, was the first who shared the devastating news on Twitter. Two days prior to Eddie Marlin’s passing, Jerry Jarrett also took to Twitter and revealed that Eddie Marlin is being moved to hospice and that his organs had failed.
