According to TMZ Sports, WWE Superstar Jeff Hardy, who is signed under The SmackDown LIVE banner, but is currently inactive due to a leg injury, was arrested this weekend in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for being intoxicated in public.
Early Saturday morning, Jeff Hardy was arrested and booked for public intoxication and impairment. There is no word yet on what led to Jeff Hardy’s arrest, but Myrtle Beach is said to be a notorious arrest trap for people visiting from out of town and partying too much.
Jeff Hardy was recently released on a bond that was less than $200. This past May, Jeff Hardy underwent successful knee surgery and it was reported that he will be out of in-ring action for 6-9 months. WWE released the following statement regarding Jeff Hardy’s arrest:
“Jeff Hardy is responsible for his own personal actions.”
