NXT Breakout Tournament To Begin Airing This Month, Participants Revealed

As seen during last night’s NXT TV Tapings which emanated from Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida, an 8-Man NXT Breakout Tournament began with its First Round Matches. The tournament consists of NXT Superstars who have not yet made their official NXT TV debuts. The winner of the tournament will be receiving a future title shot of any NXT Championship of their choosing.

The following NXT Superstars were announced for The 8-Man NXT Breakout Tournament: Angel Garza (Garza Jr.), Joaquin Wilde (DJZ), Cameron Grimes (Trevor Lee), Isiah “Swerve” Scott (Shane “Swerve” Strickland), Boa, Jordan Myles (ACH), Dexter Lumis (Samuel Shaw) & Bronson Reed (Jonah Rock).

The First Round of The 8-Man NXT Breakout Tournament was taped during last night’s NXT TV Tapings and is scheduled to air on The June 26th episode of NXT TV. NXT General Manager William Regal’s NXT Breakout Tournament announcement will likely be airing on next Wednesday’s episode of NXT TV.

The Semi-Finals of The 8-Man NXT Breakout Tournament will likely be taped during tonight’s NXT TV Tapings from Full Sail University and is scheduled to air either in late July or early August. This has not yet been confirmed but The Finals of The 8-Man NXT Breakout Tournament may end up taking place on Saturday, August 10th at NXT’s TakeOver: Toronto Event from The Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada during WWE SummerSlam weekend.

The following First Round Matches were taped during last night’s NXT TV Tapings with the winners moving on to face each other in The Semi-Finals:

– Jordan Myles vs. Boa

– Isaiah Scott vs. Cameron Grimes

– Bronson Reed vs. Dexter Lumis

– Angel Garza vs. Joaquin Wilde
