Samantha Irvin’s departure from WWE sparked rumors that she might be heading to AEW, but Ricochet has stated otherwise. Irvin announced on Monday that she was wrapping up her time with WWE, leading to speculation that AEW would be interested in her. Sources from both companies indicated they would be “shocked” if AEW didn’t try to sign her, especially considering Ricochet is part of the AEW roster and is engaged to Irvin.

Ricochet took to Twitter to address the rumors and clarify that she would not be joining AEW, writing:

Haha, she’s not coming to AEW.

You can all rest easy.”

Haha, she's not coming to AEW.

You can all rest easy. 😂

Fightful Select reports that sources within WWE spoke highly of Samantha Irvin both before and after her announcement. Many were surprised by the news of her departure, suggesting that it was unlikely she could have informed everyone in advance. One source described her as a “presence that made the workday better.”
