Recently, Wrestlevotes reported that while WWE Smackdown is currently airing as a three-hour show, this format is expected to change in the near future. The report indicated that Smackdown is anticipated to return to its original two-hour format in June. In a recent interview with Pat McAfee on The Pat McAfee Show (via Fightful), Triple H confirmed the plan to revert to two hours, though he did not provide a specific timeline for the change.
Triple H addressed the matter, saying:
“Yes, for right now (it is three hours), and then it switches back to two.”
This announcement comes after Smackdown aired its first three-hour episode last Friday, a significant shift from its usual two-hour programming. Fans are now eagerly awaiting the transition back to the familiar two-hour format, which has been a staple for Smackdown for many years.
