At a recent DEFY Wrestling Event, Former MLW World Heavyweight Champion Shane Strickland would reportedly say his goodbyes to the fans and tell the fans that it would be his last appearance for the promotion as he moves on to bigger and better things, according to PWInsider. The roster would then surround the ring after his match and everyone would sing his entrance theme.
Strickland would take to Twitter this past January and announce that he is now a free agent after being able to fulfill the rest of his Lucha Underground duties and responsibilities after the fourth season. His character on the promotion was Killshot.
It has been rumored for the past several months that WWE has an interest in Strickland (who also performs in EVOLVE) to join up with their NXT brand. Although, it is still unknown if a deal has been offered and he has accepted.
