Tommy Dreamer thinks Eddie Kingston would be an excellent choice to challenge Jon Moxley and his faction, provided Kingston can return in time. Moxley has been on a roll in AEW, delivering punishing attacks on the roster alongside his Blackpool Combat Club teammates. In a recent episode of Busted Open Radio, Dreamer discussed potential opponents for Moxley and singled out Kingston as a strong contender to stand up against him.
For where we’re at, Eddie Kingston is a great [potential savior],” Dreamer said. “Hopefully he could get back … Eddie Kingston is great if he’s able to go. Also, Sting. Sting can show back up, not be the wrestler, rally the troops and somebody is helping support them. Because I was thinking about using my examples before, Sting was part of two waves. He was part of fighting off The [Four] Horsemen. He was part of fighting off the nWo. He’s a major part of that. He could be like, ‘Guys, I’ve lived here before.’”
Eddie Kingston has been sidelined with a tibular fracture he sustained at NJPW Resurgence in May. He has indicated that he expects to make his return around April or May of next year.
