WWE Hall of Famer Scott Steiner created his own unique form of math with the iconic “Steiner Math” promo in TNA, and he recently shared his thoughts on its lasting popularity. The promo has become a fan favorite in the wrestling world, and during a recent appearance on Going Ringside, Steiner discussed why it resonated with so many.
Scott Steiner said (per Wrestling Inc).
“It made sense, I’m a mathematical wizard apparently, man, you know you can’t predict that stuff, you know? You never know what people are going to latch on to, plus it made sense.”
Steiner continued,
“So many people come up to me and say I helped them with their math throughout high school and college.”
The memorable promo, which aired in 2008, was used to hype the Samoa Joe vs. Kurt Angle vs. Steiner match at TNA Sacrifice. Joe defied the mathematical odds to retain his TNA World Championship.
