NXT Announcer Percy Watson did not make an appearance at the most recent set of TV Tapings for The NXT brand that took place earlier this month from Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida. Instead, he was replaced by WWE Hall Of Famer Beth Phoenix who called the action.
At the time, it was reported that Watson was still with WWE and that it was unknown if his switch with Beth Phoenix was permanent or not. Just recently, Casey Michael Of Squared Circle Sirens took to Twitter and said that Watson has quit the company and is seeking a new career in acting.
It also sounds like Watson had already decided to leave the company even before Beth Phoenix was brought in to replace him at the most recent set of NXT TV tapings that took place earlier the month as the last set of NXT TV Tapings that took place early April were his last. Watson first joined the company in 2009 where he wrestled in FCW from that same year until 2010. He then wrestled in NXT from 2010-2013. Watson would then join commentary in December Of 2016 until most recently. You can check out the tweets below:

He wants to do acting and not be a commentator/personality/wrestler apparently.
